I arrived in a city on the other side of the world with way too little sleep, couldn't access my money (for stupid reasons) and the hostel I was supposed to meet my brother at didn't seem to exist (he had no mobile and due to last minute changes, our backup plan had stopped existing).

After desperately trying to find an Internet café to try and contact my brother that way (it was slowly starting to get dark), I ran into this really nice couple who not only lent me a smartphone to access my mails but actually spent the entire evening helping me find my brother. I honestly don't know what I would have done if they hadn't been there to help me out of the incredibly stupid situation I had got myself into.

It's situations like that that restore my faith in humanity. :)
