I've left kudos on things I ended up not enjoying at the end or just stopped reading because I didn't like the direction the fic took. I've never wanted to take back kudos because I enjoyed the fic enough to keep coming back for a while, and I think that at least deserves a measly kudo.

I've never felt that a story's end ruined the potential in the beginning, even if I didn't like it. A kudos is basically "good idea/I liked this idea!" It doesn't have to say you liked every single thing a fic did.

I had no idea that kudos was the plural of kudo.

Actually, kudo's only pretty recent. "Kudos" is technically singular, but more and more people've started using it as plural. Hence things like "I left a kudo on her fic" when it should be "I left kudos".
