(Anonymous) 2013-05-11 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)Um, there is also MS Paint Adventures, which has embraced fandom as its life-blood, but that one is probably worth an entire whole paper just for it.
I forgot if someone mentioned this in the thread, but Avatar: The Last Aibender/The Legend of Aang has an entire episode ("The Ember Island Play", or something like that?) that makes fun of fandom, initial character concepts and things like that. The creators also had a presentation in a convention that made light-hearted fun of shipping, and I think there was a short animation on Nickelodeon's site that made fun of shipping too, with all the characters in a school setting.
