Except um I'm pretty sure the anon was someone who had a similar anxiety disorder and understands it's egoistic nature (and admits to the narcissistic slant) and thus how they got over it ...so like what is your point?

da. I don't think it's harsh. Speaking for myself, a lot of the anxiety I did have, I learned to get over it when I learned that people really weren't paying THAT much attention to me, and that my tiny faux pas really was NOT a big deal.

Learning not to magnify the significance of all those things? Helped me realize that it wasn't the big deal I was making of it.

Maybe it doesn't work for you, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't work for everyone.
