In a 2nd season ep of the anime Durarara!!, the female otaku character squees about doujinshi (fan comics, often porny) for the fandom's slash OTP, Izaya/Shizuo. That pairing was VERY popular IRL in Japan.

I'm not sure which ep it is, but I'm rewatching and can give you a number soon, if you're interested.
