I don't think Invincible is a good suggestion. I mean, I love it, but it has the exact problem they're talking about. It just keeps going and rehashing the same stuff over and over. It's one of the most big two-like creator-owned comics in existence.

Still, in general, I agree that branching out is a good idea. Saying you've grown out of comics is a bit like saying you've grown out of books or movies.

Good point about Invincible, but I was mostly just giving an example of a comic I personally enjoy that's ongoing rather than a mini.
