I agree. There are a lot of shows I like, but when it's week after week, I find it tiring... I actually kind of like shows with shorter runs, like only 10 or 13 episodes like some of the shows I watch on cable are.

Religion/religious themes can still be fascinating to people who are atheist or agnostic. Atheist writers (well, the good ones anyway) who write about religion usually aren't going "lol, this is all pointless bullshit but the plebes will lap it up," they're usually of the opinion that religion is a meaningful topic and exploring religious ideas and how they relate to people/humanity/other ideas. They just don't personally believe in god and stuff.

I can't speak to the RP side of it, but I like to read fic about them that explores their relationship. It can be complicated and messy. And there's a definite power struggle in that they've both been raised to be killers yet because they're from the same district, they also look out for each other. He is physically more imposing than her yet she can still hold her own.

Well part of me likes it because I wouldn't want to wait multiple seasons to see Ramsay/Theon interaction. And it is necessary just because A.) Ramsay wasn't introduced last season for some stupid reason and B.) the alternative would be for Theon to be absent for two seasons.

That being said, I do think last night's episode was gratuitous and I preferred what happened to have been left ambigious like it was in the books.

In regards to Steve/Tony, it's painfully obvious that you never read any of the comics. That said, it's one thing if you don't care for the pairings yourself, but quite another to act like everyone whose opinion differs from yours is delusional.

While I emphasize with Dean more than Sam, I do see where Sam's coming from. It really doesn't feel that great to keep all your emotions bottled up. Like Dean, I tend to keep my feelings to myself and get annoyed when people pester me about them, but I do feel a lot better when I finally open up.

While season 8 certainly has its flaws, I do like that it has Dean being more open emotionally. That's character development right there.
