After having been a big X-men fan in the 1980s (I even cosplayed as Phoenix :p), not long ago I started picking up Demon Knights (thanks for that goes to Noodly)

to the OP:
I just wanted the OP to know that ... it's true that sometimes you never again pick up the things you set aside after high school or college---but other times you just take long long breaks from them.
By the time you're 50, if you want to read comics or write fanfiction or hang out on fansites you'll be old enough not to give a rat's ass whether some people think you're "too old for that stuff." IMO, a long as what you're doing is legal, and you're honest about your age online, you can do whatever you have fun doing.
And whoever doesn't like it can go fart in a paper bag.
