What are fandom things that fit that description for you?

Like for me, I hate BDSM, but I LOVE aftercare. Unfortunately it is very, very, very hard to one without the other because they are very connected.

It can be characters, shows, tropes, whatever (ex: I love Holmes but hate Watson).

Pretending to like things you don't like

Inspired by yesterday's secret: Have you ever pretended to like a fandom thing you don't actually care for? If so, why?

I can't recall ever having done that, except maybe because I got something as a gift and it would be rude to say I didn't like it. I'd like to understand other people's reasons for lying about their likes and dislikes better.

I used to pretend that I liked anime to fit in. In reality, 6th grade me was too scared to watch adult swim (it had people swearing afterall) and would only watch Toonami when the family was away. (I was really self conscious, okay?)

Funny how I've been watching a ton of it lately.
