Damn. I work downtown, and then I have a medical appointment near downtown... this is going to be a pain. Oh, well. At least it's for a good reason.

I'm so happy!!! I live right on the ND/Minnesota border so it is almost my state and I feel much joy for the people who live two miles away from me. I hope Minnesota opens up equality in the midwest and infects North Dakota like a really positive case of equality flu!

That's who I was giving the well wishes to! I live like two miles (well, by highway so it takes a long time but it's technically two) from Moorhead and I have so many friends who are celebrating! My roommate/best friend is technically still a Minnesota resident, she's from Detroit Lakes.

My cousin and her wife who live there wound up getting today off work to go to the capitol, and my cousin proposed "for reals this time" on the steps outside just after. =) I already traveled out there once to see them married, but will gladly do so again to see it properly legal-ified. ;)

Congratulations Minnesota! I hope my home state, Illinois will soon join you.

I am so proud, but also so happy that I don't live in the cities.
