it took me sooo long to even try to tumblr :\ I lurked for well over a year before I finally made an account and started using it. It worked out okay for me because I was just getting into a brand-new fandom, so I was kind of able to join the conversations right from the beginning and slip in that way. But I still feel awkward trying to join fandom bullet trains that are zooming past my station constantly.
