Humiliation is like one of the top three reasons of why I hate BDSM! Humiliation, pain, and feminization.

Those are all top things I hate in BDSM. I find it so frustrating that fandom tends to focus on one small section of BDSM over and over and over again. Ugh. It's not all humiliation and pain and feminization people!

I guess i just like the DS of BDSM. :P Sadly is seems most people focus on the SM part more.

Same here - I have a huge, huge humiliation squick. I don't write BDSM often, but I try to focus on the trust/domination/submissive bits more when I do. I mean, sometimes it's fun to write the SM part, but...*shrug* I like writing the other parts. (Heck, last one I wrote was about trust and had nothing more intense than a little rope bondage.)

Maybe writers focus more on the SM bits since it's easier than writing the DS without humiliation, or they just have it in their heads that that's what BDSM is all about?

I think it is the second thing. Because I have seen some DS without humilation (which I love), but I think most people think of BDSM as whips, beatings, and calling names.

I just want one party to take complete control and be sweet to their partner. And call them little endearments and make them listen and....:3

The closest fic I've found is a Suits fandom fic titled "Needs Must" which includes the tag "praise kink".

Looks like tonight I am reading a fic in a fandom I know nothing about because it has one of my rare kinks. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

If nothing else, all of them should be pretty good because I had them bookmarked... Also when it comes to BDSM and Alpha/Beta/Omega I am really picky, because like you I don't like a lot of the aspects that are brought up.
