What are fandom things that fit that description for you?

Like for me, I hate BDSM, but I LOVE aftercare. Unfortunately it is very, very, very hard to one without the other because they are very connected.

It can be characters, shows, tropes, whatever (ex: I love Holmes but hate Watson).

Most modern country music is terrible. Look into older artists (i.e. Cash's contemporaries) -- Hank Williams for example. Alternative country like the Handsome Family is also worth looking into.

There are probably tons of people like that. Johnny Cash was such a damn good writer and singer. I mean, he took Hurt and just...owned it.

sort of related, I hate humiliation but love bdsm. Oddly hard to find one without the other (in the fandoms I've been in).

These are trying times for me. Every time I watch it I can barely stand it. But I also love it.

I like fic with acquired disability, but hate hurt/comfort, whump, and angst.

I want to focus on how the affected character comes to cope, on them failing to cope or on how their partner and/or caretaker copes. The latter trope in particular is massively squicky and it's everywhere.

I hate writing sex scenes, but I love writing sex scenes...

The technical aspects--word usage, keeping track of where everyone and their body parts are, etc--drive me up the wall, but when I can get past that, I love writing pr0n.

I hate ships where the characters hate each other in canon, but I love ships where the characters have an unhealthy relationship in canon. All my favorite pairings involve some degree of codependence, emotional abuse, and/or deceit toward one another. Not sure what this says about me.

i love comics and manga with queer relationships but i hate almost all the BL and GL manga that i come across

i think i've hit a ceiling where i just can't stand how the industry has shaped them, but there's precious little queer content anywhere outside of them, sigh my life is ~hard

Beating a dead horse here, but anyway: I hate what Moffat has been doing as showrunner, but I love Doctor Who.

And I hate gratuitous fanservice, but I love seeing pretty people regardless of gender. (I'm mostly thinking of anime here, but shows like Star Trek come to mind as well.)

I hate hurt, but I love comfort.
I hate when there's not enough canon!interaction/shipping!material for a pairing to work for me... but I love crossover pairings.
I hate Sentinel!AUs, but I love Crossovers with Sentinel.
I hate Omega!Verse, almost any type of "supernatural" or whatever bonding, etc... but I love Shifter!Stories.
I hate the concept of soulmates, bonding, imprinting, etc... but I love when one half of a pairing is there because he/she/it is obligated to because of outside (usually very tangible and almost never supernatural) circumstances (for example a promise).
I hate Slavery!AUs, and consent issues, but I love when one half of a pairing is bounded by circumstances.
I hate MPreg and strongly dislike Genderswap!Stories, but I love GenderBent!AUs.
