I think there are just people around here who can't see a single thread slip by without hate. Like if the thread is not getting hate, they will supply it. I mean, is it even possible to hate some of the innocuous things that I've seen getting bashed?

I admit I loled and wtf'ed at that comment that was made to you about replying to comments. I appreciate the hell out of the fact that you reply to comments left in your threads. I wish more did that. On a couple of occasions when you did, I was in a bad/sad mood and it made my day better to think someone was listening (reading) to me.

When I see some anon asking for help on something and no comments, then I get all helpful anon and usually decide to help them, do research, and leave a comment and when I don't get a reply (which I usually don't), then I start thinking: did I waste my time? did they get the reply (did they not check for one or something)? Was it or was it not what they were looking for, etc. A simple thanks lets me know you got the comment/LJ didn't mess up.

Not that I expect you to respond to this. I just wanted to comment. :)

Responding to comments doesn't bother me at all. I just have to remember to turn my phone on silent. Because replies send emails to my phone so it is just the Yoshi noise like 30 times in an hour. :P

I can't speak for anyone else, but maybe some of the lack of replies is due to you not being logged in? I know that I sometimes don't respond to anons unless I can do it shortly after they've posted because I assume they wouldn't see my reply.

Oh, probably. I don't care so much if it's logged in user since I assume LJ does it job and lets them know they've a response. It's only mainly when I'm commenting to an anon asking for help. I just wonder if they saw it or if they're still trying to figure it out b/c they didn't see my response. I usually wait a while and check to see if there's something more I can help them with/provide more details on. It's probably the librarian in me (and former grad student) coming out (if only I could find a job....). :)

Yeah, I need to get over my social anxiety and at least create a sock if not use my main account. It'd be easier.
