For a supposed Episcopalian, Rowling really pushed the neo-Calvinist stuff hard, didn't she? Slugworth counts as a good Slytherin, and I guess Snape eventually did so too, but at the point where I gave up caring about the series, pretty much everyone else was stuck in the life path they'd been set upon by the Sorting Hat.
