fearlessfirefly: The Sixth Doctor all dirtied up and holding up his hands to his face. ([Dr Who] I ♥ real dirty things)

So . . . you don't like DI & DS friendships? I'm not sure I'm getting it.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-13 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it some kind of... fraternization thing? Is it not allowed?
fearlessfirefly: The two Mokonas from Tsubasa/XXXHOLiC enjoying a bath together. ([CLAMP] Mokona love ♥)

[personal profile] fearlessfirefly 2013-05-14 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if it's friendship, I don't see why it would be? I dunno.

OT, but I love your Six icon. Six is awesomesauce and unfairly unappreciated. *fistbumb*

(Anonymous) 2013-05-13 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Seconded. Six is awesome and that is a fabulous icon.

I saw the first episode of this, then it disappeared. I'd like to see more of it. I like Morse.

If you are in the US, there will be three (I think) new episodes this summer on PBS. Not sure about other countries. But I do know they have been filmed.

I ♥ Endeavour.

I envision a glowing utopian future where the only shows on BBC will be sequels, prequels or spinoffs of Inspector Morse. There will be enough of these that a rerun of a different Morse-themed show will fill up every hour of TV, except for 9pm Saturday night (no one will go out on the weekends in the future) when Inspector Morse: Spaceship Boogooloo will air. A crime-comedy-drama (cramedy), Spaceship Boogooloo will follow the adventures of Inspector Morse in the 2400s. After being taken out of cryogenic freeze and fitted with cyborg limbs by a sinister shadow corporation, Morse will have a steep learning curve as he navigates the "zany" world of the future with his talking polar bear companion Lewis. DS Lewis-bear, an accidental polar-human hybrid produced in a failed experiment to revive extinct arctic species, provides hilarious comic relief as he tried to tell the mixed alien-human population of Lizzie III, a habitable asteroid artificially orbiting the polluted remnants of Earth, all about the dangers of climate change - the joke being that global warming already happened with disastrous effect! Cramedy ensues!

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
You had me right up until 'climate change'. Lewis is far too cynical for that sort of thing.

I think ITV might have something to say about that, it's their show.

Translation, please?

[personal profile] charming_stranger 2013-05-14 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
What does the text after "chance?" mean?

OK, maybe I should just stay away from secrets about fandoms I'm not familiar with, but I'm way too curious.

I watched a lot of Lewis while I was sick and it got to be a little much - just couldn't believe there were so many literate murderers.

I was born in Oxford. It's slightly more accurate than is comfortable. Also that sense of "we're all brilliant here!" that radiates from half the characters, murderous or otherwise? Yes.

WATCH THIS SHOW FOR ROGER ALLAM

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
as Fred Thursday. He's *perfect* and deserves a BAFTA.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-14 11:03 am (UTC)(link)
Eeeee, Roger Allam. I haven't even seen much of Morse or Lewis, but I now have a concrete reason to watch this show.

Thanks for the reminder! I totally forgot about Endeavour, which means my household is going through total Morse deprival. Must correct this pronto.

You'll miss out then. Young Morse isn't even the reason to watch it really, though the actor does a good job of copying some of old Morse's speech mannerisms etc. But yeah, Thursday is the real star of that series IMO.

Then your life will just a little sadder. I'm really enjoying it. And the pretty pretty clothes,
