You get that people seeing things differently than you and even *gasp* talking about it and writing fic about it actually doesn't change canon, right?

You get that maybe the reason I don't like the trope has more to do with real-life experiences than with fanfic and shipping given that I don't read fic or really do the shipping thing?

I find the trope annoying if it's in canon as well but then again you're right I'm just worried about my ~*precious canon*~ that needs defending from a shitty overused trope in fanfic

Are you OP? Because I'm not understanding how you "don't read fic or really do the shipping thing" but also want to complain about having pairing "shoved down your throat"?
