Oh god, Moriarty was such a bland villain that his OTT behavior just annoyed me. Also, his voice. I hated that voice. He sounded like a 12-year-old boy going through puberty.

His OTT behavior in general was actually kind of amusing to me, and I didn't find him particularly bland as a villain.

BUT OH MY GOD HIS VOICE. I hated it. I will never forgive the director or writer or actor or whomever was behind the decision to have him talk like that. Never.

Yeah, his voice was jarring. Especially when compared to past Moriartys, where the usual trick was to make the voice deeper and smoother.

When my relatives watched TGG (which I'd already seen), I went to another room during his scene. And I could still hear his voice... >_
