What do you mean "never experienced/etc any form of media"? Like, if I've never listened to music I can't criticize music? This just seems so odd. Who starts criticizing forms of media they haven't experienced?

I don't think the OP means media in a broad sense like 'TV' and 'music', but specific things like 'Harry Potter' and 'One Direction'.

You might be surprised by the amount of people who would criticise something they've never watched/read/etc. though
