A lot of the abuse that is perpetrated against males occurs when they are children. They're not members of an oppressive patriarchal hegemony; they're fucking children. It doesn't alleviate women's suffering, it doesn't fix anything. These are children who have been raped, molested, violated, trafficked, abused and wronged. They didn't deserve it. And the adult men? They didn't deserve it either. No one deserves it. Don't think two wrongs can make a right.

Ok, one quick thing before I make the bulk of my point: They're not members of an oppressive patriarchal hegemony yet.

I do have to apologise, I phrased that last bit poorly. I don't think they deserve it, just that it's not as big of an issue for women.
