Normally I hate kid characters/subplots like that as well, but I've got to disagree with you on this one, mostly 'cause Tony was just his usual snarky asshole self around the kid, who got in some pretty funny lines himself. It just worked for me.

Also, I just got back from seeing the movie, but don't worry, I'll spare f!s my unintelligible squeeing. Except for this: PEPPER HAD SO BETTER GET HER OWN SUIT IN THE NEXT MOVIE WHEN TONY INEVITABLY REBUILDS EVERYTHING. OR KEEP THE POWERS AND/OR GET NEW ONES, I'M NOT PICKY. I JUST WANT MORE SCENES OF HER KICKING ASS.

+1. Badass Pepper is badass.

Ugh yesss I want Pepper to get her Rescue suit from the comics so bad. Badass Pepper is kind of my favorite thing of the Iron Man movies.

OMG Pepper is amazingly badass and awesome in this movie.

I could stand some more scenes of her in a sports bra on fire. Just saying.

Word of God says Pepper is completely cured, with no Extremis powers in sight.

Maybe Metatron transcribed it wrong. LOL

Thank goodness for fanfic then because Extremis powered Pepper is pretty boss.

Really? I assumed Tony would have kept the parts of the virus that made his girlfriend less easy to murder. Well that sucks.

Pepper with an Iron Man suit omg... And she will be called IRON POTTS! It's PERFECT!

Actually in Invincible Iron Man she does have her own suit that Tony made for her and it's called Rescue. It's focused on defensive combat, with some offensive, while the Iron Man and War Machine are all offensive.

I was really hoping for some Rescue in the movie. =( Ah well, maybe next time.
