Oh I'm not in zim fandom but my friend ladylaguna is and she was so pissed about Jhonen posting this, what a dick.

When people ask you "is zim coming back" after you've answered repeatedly, and publically, in every way possible, and it's been over a decade since the last episode, it's time to just start fucking with folks.

JV fans need to get over themselves. They're not entitled to a new Zim no matter how many fucking times they ask.

But this was so beautiful.

I think Vasquez is a little up his own ass, to a degree.

But I will never get tired of him fucking with his fanbase.
Especially the 14-year-old "GIR!! PANTSTACOCHEESYBURRITO DOOM DOOM!" Zim fanbase.
I would want to fuck with them, too, in his position.

I'm not a fan of him as a person, but I will never get tired of people trolling their own obnoxious fans.

I laughed when I saw this tweet. I'm guessing he gets asked this question all the time on Twitter so he decided to change his answer up a bit.

I don't really know enough about him to know whether or not he needs to get over himself, but I think that tweet is funny.

But I love the way he dicks with them.

Also, more of his fnas should be asking for more Nny/Squee/Devi, not ZIM.

He's a dick, but there's only one of him. There are thousands of LOL WACKY morons who can't shut the fuck up about Zim years afterwards, so they're way worse.

I got to see him at a Titmouse panel at the last ECCC, he's brilliant. And this very point got brought up, in fact: that people basically never leave him alone about Zim no matter how many times he's said no, it's not coming back, ever, so please stop. How can anyone blame him for getting a little snarky about it?

Plus, more Squee. Fuck yes.

I never really watched Invader Zim but...considering he's been getting that question 10 years? I can't really blame him for fucking with people.

Nah, Jhonen is fine. The obnoxious crazed Hot Topic Zim fans though? Yeeeeah. Most people seem to forget that he's done a lot more beyond Zim. If you're an artist, you can imagine how annoying it must be for people to rag on day in and day out about a cartoon that hasn't been worked on for ten years as if that's the only work you've ever done.

He's actually a pretty cool dude if you treat him like an actual human being.

If he wanted less obnoxious fans he should have created a less obnoxious show.

Except you have to put effort into watching the show - the fans hunt him down.

I saw him having to deal with Invader Zim fans at ECCC this year and after that I understood him on this a lot better. And, you know, I loved Zim, I have the box set, but some of the fandom makes me just blanch at this point. If ECCC is any indication, he still has to explain in VERY BLUNT TERMS at EVERY EVENT that Zim is still cancelled and isn't coming back and it wasn't some kind of conspiracy (no really he had to do this at ECCC in 2013) and and and yeah.

Also, he's a total fucking riot in person. Just sayin'.

jv is a creepy douchebag (i saw him at a panel and he complained about not being able to write a character saying "i can only cum in babies") but in that case, people need to get over invader zim
