Same. It seems to have shifted some people into the wrong house just to have 4 in each.

Rose, I don't think fits Slytherin well at all - she lacks any real analogue to Slytherin's blood-purity obsession, and her ambitions don't seem to be ends in and of themselves. And, of course, she tried to sacrifice herself, which is pretty much anathema to Slytherin. With her delving into magic, alchemy, and the zoologically dubious, she'd fit far better in Ravenclaw.

Speaking of Ravenclaw, while it's not a terrible fit for Dave, he could fit into Gryffindor at least as well.

I think Nepeta'd fit fairly well in Gryffindor - not that her hunting is quite as impressive for a troll as it would be for a human, she does regularly go out and hunt with just a set of claws, which is certainly a show of bravery.

Kanaya's way, way more a Hufflepuff than a Ravenclaw.

Karkat, I'd be more inclined to put in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff than Gryffindor. Gryffindor's about BRAVERY - and, while he's hardly a coward, his defining qualities are more his attention to the minutia romance (making him an oddly single-subject obsessed Ravenclaw), and his caring for others (making him a bog-standard Hufflepuff). His 'I'm the leader, dammit' stuff, early on, could suggest Slytherin, as well, but that attitude doesn't seem to come very naturally to him.

Vriska, Eridan, Equius, Aradia, Sollux, Feferi, and Tavros are perfectly set.
Terezi, Gamzee, John, and Jade I can't really decide whether they fit where they're sorted or not, and if not where would be better.

I think Rose is one of the few characters who would be able to be in Slytherin without buying into Slytherin groupthink ideology, and she's always been a little in love with darkness, but she'd do well in Ravenclaw, also.

That's the thing...Slytherin isn't really about darkness. Most Slytherin end up bad guys, or at least venal neutrals, because self-aggrandizement, and a weird hybrid of racism and classism are the defining traits, not an affinity for the uncanny.

To the extent a Slytherin would be interested in things like the Horrorterrors, it'd be as a potential source of power for themself, whereas Rose was interested in the Zoologically Dubious in its own right, which is far more like Ravenclaw than Slytherin.
