I...really dislike the new Animal Man. And it's not because it's bad, exactly, I just don't enjoy it. The first trade was pretty well done, I thought, but I am so very sick of that whole Precocious-and-Eerie Child Savant thing that they did with his daughter, so I kind of let it drop. And I flipped through a recent issue and saw a certain death, and...

Eeehph.

It's just another dulled facet of the nuDC as a whole. There aren't any happy family books. At all. What I always thought set Animal Man apart was that he was a married man with two kids and there may've been a little tension between his job and his family, but at the end of the day, he had his family. It was dorky and fun.
