You can’t tell people how to enjoy things.

Well, you can, but not many people are going to listen.

Stop liking things I don’t like. Stop disliking things I do like. Stop liking things I like, you’re doing it the wrong way. Stop disliking things I dislike, you’re doing it the wrong way.

I’ve seen variations of all these things. And, yes, it can be annoying when people don’t agree with you, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t get to do it. It’s never been for me, but some people like to hate-watch things or enjoy complaining about them or have fun critiquing. Some people like things for completely different reasons than you do. It would be nice if everyone could find places where only like-minded people gather, but I don’t think that’s going to happen (especially since there are some people that just love to have a dissenting opinion). I think, if you really want to enjoy fandom your way, you’re just going to have to find a way to avoid or ignore other fans who don’t feel the same way.

I accept I have trouble suppresing feelings of "Stop liking things I like, you're doing the wrong way", that's been something I've worked very hard to not complain about.

That being said, I agree 100% with ypu.
