DO IT. PUSH LITTLE KART!

People who enjoy their discussions and arguments a little too much wear me out, so I avoid sharing my opinions as well. The previous anonymous suggestion to submit them to a confessions blog is a really good idea, though! ♥

It happens! And that's okay. But I love the idea of writing meta and then sitting on it for a couple of days to view it with fresh(er?) eyes.
Most of my meta I never bothered to look back over more than once, and I love posting stuff right away so I tend to not proofread enough. I think I'll try this myself from now on.

But sometimes it's fun sharing these things, and other times, you might have friends who get whoa bent out of shape if you disagree with them.
The only thing I can say is:
1. If you have friends who are so fucking childish that they can't act mature about a fandom-related disagreement (wahhh I don't think character A is like that at allll /DEFRIENDS) then they're not someone you want around you ANYWAY, and
2. It's worth just thinking that in your life, tons of people already disagree with you about THE DUMBEST SHIT, like whether or not the Oxford comma is cool or ridiculous.
Everyone already knows these things, but sometimes it's easy to forget them when you really like someone in fandom and you're afraid of upsetting them because you don't see something the same way they do. But that's life, and it'll happen over a lot of things, some even more out there than fandom. (omg you bought a HONDA?!??!?! CHEVROLET IS THE WAY TO GO MANNNN!!!!)
That said, I personally love headcanon/meta shit. A lot. Like you have no idea. It's so much fun to see how so many different people interpret the same material. You might be surprised that some of your fandomy friends feel the same way I do--and just enjoy seeing things from a different perspective, even if it's not something we personally agree with.
Sometimes fandom discussions can be fun with two disagreeing people, but when things get rocky (which they sometimes do), I highly suggest just saying, "I guess we'll have to agree to disagree." Because there are some people in fandom who have ZERO reading comprehension, and others who are blind thanks to bias and won't listen to anything you say, anyway. But it's okay to agree to disagree. And it can be fun to share. :)
Good luck, OP.
