There is something to be said for how growing up being socialized as the other gender may affect their clothing/appearance choices.

Or about trends in female character design. Seriously, if an otherwise average-looking dude in functional clothes is turned into an ethereally beautiful chick in stripper clothes, then that says a *lot* about what we're used to seeing (and for some, drawing) in female characters.

One of the best genderswaps I've seen - with excellent art - is a femslash with fem-CA and Darcy Lewis.

Most of the genderbent Dethklok art I've seen does this. Even Murderface suddenly becomes hot and really busty.
