This brought up an amusing thought. Is there a single pony in Friendship is Magic that is depicted as being overweight? Every singly pony I can think of has been 'normal' weight so I can see why fandom might be ~*~*~offended~*~* that their precious ponies are depicted as larger when in canon they're all normal size/weight/whathaveyou. The only pony I can think of that is even close to not being normal size/weight is Big Macintosh.

Oh, the "they're all copy+paste" is brought up often. The funny thing is that the creators themselves have said that this was only done for budget and toy reasons. Oddly enough people seem to have the biggest problems with the humanizations if human skin colors come into play. Lots of them aren't willing to accept headcanons and you will also find a lot defence of racism.

For example, the pony village looks "Euro-centric" so of course that means to them "humanizations of color make no sense in canooon". Boob sizes, however, are the thing you're allowed to play with. Does Fluttershy have an A-cup because she is so shy or does she have DDs because she is so motherly? Real ~deep~ character analysis right there, lol!
