but when people genderswap fanart they usually want to design new outfits for them, too. new character design is part of the fun.

Yeah I don't necessarily think miniskirts should always be how the redesign works but as an artist I completely agree that rethinking the outfit it part of the fun.

I think you need to go by character personalities to determine who would wear the miniskirt and who wouldn't though. Like if we're doing genderbent avengers I could see Tony in a miniskirt but not Steve. Steve would more likely be in dresses that go past the knee.

redesigning is fun, but I'd argue that constantly putting them in belly shirts and miniskirts are extremely boring and uncreative. I mean, the designs shown here all bore me completely.
