I liked her a lot too. You may be picking up on the lack of focus/direction change of the show. In the first season, it focused more on the women and I liked that. This season, not so much--the new characters tended to be male and if popular stayed around (Hook for ex)--the women characters were either written out (Aurora and Mulan (extremely popular both as individuals and as a femslash couple)and Ruby for ex.) or evil (Tamara--and how original is that? a poc female villian. *rolls eyes*). And the story lines were much more focused on man!pain and men (like we've never seen that before) than on the women unlike the first season.
