Re: Questions about alcohol

there are a lot of sweet drinks really, and some of them don't taste particularly alcoholic either, if you're looking for that. one of my favourite drinks is called a hairy navel - orange juice, peach schnapps and vodka. without the vodka it's called a fuzzy navel. both are really good, and they're sweet too. i also like st germain with ginger ale but st germain is kind of pricey. shandy's a good choice too.

i don't think vodka has much of a flavour, but it can burn a little straight up. it's just the sting that many alcoholic drinks have. if i mix it into something it doesn't tho, at least not for me.

i know some folks have said wine doesn't burn but wines usually have a warmth to them that sits in your stomach/chest. i wouldn't say it's in the throat though, and it's not uncomfortable imo. i just wouldn't expect to drink a wine and not feel it, so if you're looking to try it, expect that.

i wouldn't drink whiskey/bourbon though. it burns which idc about but it tastes like cough syrup to me. my mom loves it but it's definitely not for everybody.

+1 on the wine, especially red wine. White wine is sweeter, and I've always been told rosé just gives headaches, although it can be nice if it's really cold.
