Re: Any embarrassing/funny/interesting work stories?

(Anonymous) 2013-05-20 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
I've burst into tears twice at work because somehow, two months in a row, my period's managed to start on days when work is more stressful than usual and I'm sleep-deprived. My hormones fucking hate me. The first time, a coworker tried (with good intentions, mind) to let me know that there were counseling services I could take advantage of, and I just snapped and told him it was biological. I think he might be afraid of me now >_>;

But yeah, don't feel bad about crying at work! At least you were able to pick yourself up enough to keep going! I cry at the drop of a hat and have a real hard time stopping for good. I can usually get myself to stop for the moment, but my mind likes to dwell on upsetting shit, so it's really difficult to not just burst out into tears again at the smallest provocation :/

Oh, and the other day, I managed to break 10 light fixtures in one fell swoop. I backed up into a stack of 2-pack ceiling mount fixtures, stacked eight high. Seven fell. Two survived. Glass everywhere. Luckily, nobody was hurt, and the coworkers that helped me clean it up were all good-natured about it ("That's why they're called accidents!"), but I was pretty shaken up for a little while.
