Re: Any embarrassing/funny/interesting work stories?

Oh my god I also started crying at work last week. I've never done that before in my life, it was so mortifying. It technically was related to one of my co-workers and not the work itself though. I don't make a lot of noise when I cry, but for some reason the tears wouldn't stop coming out and I had to keep blowing my nose. I couldn't look any customers in the eye and hoped that they thought I had a cold. I managed to keep my voice from trembling but the congestion and the tears kept coming out. The co-worker in question said, "Don't cry, don't be sad." etc. and tried to cheer me up, which somehow kept provoking even more tears. I ended up crying all the way back home and that night, it was so stupid. I'd attribute it mostly to stress and self-doubt at the time.

I figured out what was bothering me and feel much better now, but I hate the fact that it happened at all especially in front of those people. Luckily I had a talk with that person and hopefully that resolved any lingering questions they may have had about what started it.
