There's a shit ton of misogyny that happens in superhero stuff.

No one is arguing that female superheros aren't frequently played up for their looks, but that doesn't fucking mean that any and all female superheros have to super buff. Wanting more buff female superheros doesn't have to mean shitting on the less buff ones.

The idea that Scarlet can't play the Black Widow because she isn't buff enough is dumb. Especially when the character's original job wouldn't have called for big muscles. And it's fucking insulting to act like people can't be strong without visibly looking buff - people develop muscles differently.

Black Widow was fucking awesome in this movie because she *wasn't* stronger than her opponents, but beat them anyway by using their strengths against them. She either uses their own techniques against them *while they think that they're using them on her* or she fucking steals their weapons and kills them with it.

Talk about fighting smarter!

Yeah, I want more buff women - but that means I want to see She-Hulk, not that I think they need to bulk up Black Widow.

THIS! Having every single woman be the exact same body type regardless of whether that type is super buff or super skinny is harmful, unrealistic, and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. Give me variety! I don't want everyone looking like they were traced from the portfolio of a single supermodel with only their pigmentation and hairstyle to distinguish them.
