Eurovision is an annual contest held every year in Europe. There's a singer for each country, with campy clothes and cheesy pop songs, and then everyone votes. This guy was for Romania and sang something about love with a voice that I didn't... expect...

Every year a country in Europe hosts a gigantic gay party where each country sends somebody to sing a cheesy song. Deranged dancers, bizarre costumes, and some truly incredible sets complete the night. After every country has performed the second half of the evening begins. That's the part where everybody ignores everything that's just happened and votes for their neighbour/home country/oil provider. Then the country who can best afford to host it next year is declared the winner.

We do this instead of war.

Lately some countries with quite dodgy human rights records have been let into the club. We're hoping to reform them through sequins. This is literally and definitely part of the legendary gay agenda.

Seriously I'm embarrassed that this was somehow the choice for Romania. There were better choices to be had!

My friends and I actually hated Romania...but in a love-to-hate kind of way. It was just so terrible and cheesy but we had a lot of fun ripping into it.

Denmark was so unbelievably meh that I actually forgot what their song was. And my boyfriend, who had never seen the show before, was accurately guessing which country would vote for which after we'd told him it was all political. We became very cynical by the end of the night (especially him, since he's half-English/half-Spanish and both did poorly).

For me though, I loooooved Malta. THEY WERE SO DAMN CUTE

Hey now, don't be hating on the country...we weren't too thrilled about our representative either. We just had no choice but to cringe from our seats in front of the TVs. xD

It was just so terrible and cheesy all in a black, little dress to boot, yes.

It was like a bad Twilight attempt to sum it up nicely. I can't remember, was there any glitter involved?
