Re: What does anxiety feel like to you?
(Anonymous) 2013-05-22 12:42 am (UTC)(link)My mind goes blank at worst, at best, it's incredibly hard to think. It feels like my thoughts are fighting against something heavy and thick. Sometimes I feel detached from my body as well, as if I'm looking at the situation through a stranger's eyes, but other times I just feel like my body simply doesn't respond, while I'm flooded with panic.
The symptoms have gotten lighter and lighter as I've gotten better, though, to the point that I haven't had a full-on attack in like, a couple years, maybe? I can actually feel one incoming and then stop it and act more or less like a normal person. It is so awesome. C:
