I spent Dec-Feb in various parts of Europe where it was snowing and wet and freezing and never once did I feel the cold indoors. Your homes are built to retain heat, and you have heating systems that work.
I live in a giant concrete and steel shed with ceiling to floor windows. It's "modern". It's nice in summer.
But it's not even winter yet and I can't feel my toes or my face, even though I've been in bed all day in winter pjs and socks with extra blankets.
