Self-explanatory; what's really frustrating you right now? Let it out.

For me, I need my advisor's signature so I can turn in my honors thesis. It's the last thing I need. She's already said she approved my thesis. But for some reason it's taking her forever to get this to me. I've been working on this for over a week, but she takes forever to respond to my emails, which is a pretty big pet peeve of mine.

Anyone else have stuff going on?

Snails eating the heads off all my sunflower seedlings. I don't think any of them will survive. I've created a saltwater moat around the damn things, and the snails are still getting in.

Not quite a thesis but in the same vein: I'm getting antsy waiting to get feedback and revisions on my research proposal. I know plowing through an entire class' worth of 40-70 page papers is going to take a while, but I'd really like to start moving forward again and I don't feel comfortable doing that until I know whether or not anything needs a massive rewrite.

I work with a few people who get really indignant about not being understood exactly right the first time. Like, they will give me instructions for a project, and I'll repeat what I think they mean back to them in my own words to make sure I've got it. This is "supposed" to be a good tactic for preventing misunderstandings and making the work go easier, but if what I say isn't what they meant, instead of correcting what I got wrong, they just get this attitude of like... how dare I misinterpret them, how could I be so stupid as to not get exactly what they meant exactly as they said it, I'm wasting their time!

I don't get it. Are they insulted by any implication that what they say might not be clear? Am I hurting their pride? Or do they actually think I'm stupid and a time-waster? I don't know, but I'm going home from work most days mentally exhausted and angry at everyone because of it.

Co-running a fanwork fest and some of the people who want to sign up are a bunch of entitled criers about the very clear rules and regulations we have.

"Why is there a word count maximum?"
"Ten songs is too many for a fanmix!"
"Why are there no podfic options (like, podficcing already existing works) for your anonymous fanwork prompt exchange? I don't want to write and record my own story."
"Why does it have to be anonymous. I WANT TO KNOW."
"Why aren't there more people of my pairing signing up yet omg BE MORE INCLUSIVE."

End of the school year stuff and what I'll be doing next year has been pushing on me.
Also just got back from a ceremony. I was late and when I got there, it was a full crowd of people and I couldn't for the life of me find the seat I was supposed to be at. Then during the reception, it was so crowded and all of my friends left and all I could do was just stand there looking lost. All I want to do is cry about how shitty I am at making friends and being sociable.

It's been crazy window in San Francisco for the past day and a half or so and at first it was cool but now it is at the point where it is driving me insane. And I have a mild dust allergy and am trying to clean/pack but I can't open the window because of how intense the wind is.

So now I have a headache ):

Just graduated and having a hard time finding my first real job. At first I was excited to be finished with school, but now I feel like punching holes in walls.

I got seriously depressed doing my bachelor's and I'm pretty sure I'm going to graduate with a low grade. Now trying to apply for jobs and I've asked for references and some tutors have ignored the email. Absolutely great.

If it's just a signature, have you considered just going in physically and asking her about it/telling her to just sign the fucking thing? That's what worked with me in a similar situation. Oftentimes professors just have too much shit going on and your stuff falls by the wayside unless you actually go in and, you know, deal with it face-to-face.

I feel like a huge dick but I am already really tired of getting up every two minutes to help my mom go to the bathroom or do her physical therapy or take a shower or whateverthefuck else.

And I'm not frustrated with HER, I'm frustrated that knee replacement technology isn't further along than it is so that she could fix her knees without all this painful recovery bullshit.

I had a stalker call me to work today.

Luckily I'm not the only one he's stalking to, he's actually stalking the whole office, but it doesn't make me feel any better. I know who he is, and I'm furious with myself because I didn't recognize him (a former staff fired for incompetence and growing aggressive behavior) and fell into his trap (gave him some personal info, I'm so stupid!). My boss reprimanded me for falling (like she didn't fall last week herself, huh). I cannot do anything because where we live it's actually not a crime to harrass people by phone, not even when they threaten someone, as was the case of another coworker (he threatened to hurt her children). I only recognize it was him after I talked to another coworker whom he called also today. >:/

I cannot find this livejournal community I once stumbled upon regarding works featuring tentacles as a kink.

Not finding things tends to be very frustrating, to the point that sometimes I don't even care so much about what I was looking for, just that I want to find it and be done with it so my mind can move on.

That's annoying!

Me, my freakin' neighbor's aircon. They have actually *turned it on*, and it's like - fifty degrees outside.

And it sounds like a damn diesel engine with gravel and sand in it, and it's right across the lawn outside my window and i CANNOT NOT HEAR IT and it just keeps doing it's death-grind-rattle turn-on noise and then running on and on like a damn jet engine with consumption and it's DRIVING ME NUTS.

Nothing frustrates me atm! At least, that's what I'm telling myself. Today was my break from a long depressive episode so I'd rather not think about things I'm supposed to be frustrated with right now. Today I am finally happy and optimistic and I want to go to bed laughing.
