Rose was my first too, the difference I guess is that I never really loved Rose the way a lot of people seem to, so I was not heartbroken when she left, sad as it was.

One of my friends still kinda miss Nine* (and Rose) and she liked Gwen from Torchwood, if it wasn't for the fact that we have been friends since like 5th grade we would have issues. I am joking, but still...

*I did love Nine, but I prefer Ten.

I feel the same way about Rose, but I still miss Nine. Alas.

I've been a fan since the Classic Series, and so I never really got 1) the Rose love (she seemed like a boring and not especially bright teenager to me) and 2) I was used to companions and Doctors changing.

So... yeah.
