Not always true. I've seen, and had it happen, with someone accusing another person of racism/sexism/etc for not liking specific characters no matter what the actual reason was.

Depends on how they said they didn't like her.

Most of the people I've seen complain about being dog piled for disliking a character said something actually really gross about the character - and then followed up with an acceptable reason for disliking them (sometimes before the dog pile, frequently after). Doesn't mean they didn't say something gross first though.

Personally I said that because the gag that *always* comes up with this character is her hitting another character in/over the head with something [or threatening to do so] - it hit way too close to home with my experiences in an abusive relationship, particularly because her major ship was with the character she was doing this too.

It might be a fandom thing with this character [she is something of a fandom darling, or was at the time] since I've seen the same thing happen with someone simply saying 'Something about her just rubs me the wrong way', or even just 'I don't really care for her.' No gross comment needed.
