Like I said, not entirely Nice Guy (being sad doesn't equal nice guy, but being snippy about it pushes it a bit). And it just felt like we saw a lot of her pining*, and I wish it hadn't lasted as long as it did (the pining), because as you say, she had a lot of legitimate reasons to be annoyed with the Doctor and the way he treated her, but those always seemed overshadowed by her ever-present desire for a romantic relationship. Even when she left, the primary reason she gave was that she didn't want to spend her life wanting a man who didn't want her back, not just that she was tired of his shenanigans.



*I'll be honest and also admit that I haven't watched that season in years. I just remember being really tired of it, but like I said, YMMV, and for me, the "I want someone who doesn't want me" song is something I get tired of VERY quickly, which is unfortunate, because it happens a lot.
