*SLAMS FISTS ON THE TABLE* FUCK YEAH. I don't want deep meaningful shows that make fuck all sense, i want humour, happiness, drama, fighting, fantastically LOUD characters, DIFFERENT characters, not some dreary atmosphere.

I mean i don't block all types of non-silly any out, that would be stupid, but i just fall fo rthe majority that isn't Ergo Proxy etc. I'm sure they're great, even i've seen the first 4 episodes of EP (got so fucking confused but w/e 8D) and i think it's all decent, but eh, each to their own.

Mind you, there are times when i completely delve o ut of the loophole and watch things like Shigurui which has a guy vomitting blood in teh first 5 minutes. I cringed to badly and clicked off it and yet...i can't help but want to continue watching it now wtfwtwtf

ANYWAY, IN CONCLUSION TO THIS TL;DR CRAP, I AGREE.

People are more upset because Vic said something that was canon wasn't. Kurogane/Fay is very heavily implied and pretty much canon if you're at all familiar with the way CLAMP tells stories, so that's where a lot of the "shut up he's gay" comes from. Also, Vic said Kurogane/Fay was all in the fangirl's heads when it isn't, so people got pissed.

I always thought Jayne had a crush on Kaylee. But, for some reason, I ship just about anyone on this show with anyone else.

Jayne/Kaylee? I can dig it. Simon/Kaylee? Yeah, I'm down.

But I have even weird ones, like...

Although I don't read much slash, I could see any combination of the guys together. (Book and Jayne? Totally! ...I'm weird.)

Well, even with their more obvious pairings like Yukito and Touya, they're still rather vague as to what's actually going on... therefore nothing's really canon as long as it's vague. Fanservice can just be no more than innuendo, after all. Implied doesn't always mean canon.

I can imagine people being pissed that Vic said something... infact, everytime I hear the guy talk I want to uppercut the guy in the balls for being obnoxious.

While he shouldn't have said that it was all in the fangirl's heads, it really is just perspective.

23: Nice graphic match between the Ergo Proxy/GitS pics. I have to say that Slice of Life anime tends to be more maturely written, and that's a big attractor for me, so I can understand where you're coming from. (At the same time, I think GitS:SAC rules I)

10. I know how you feel. There are some characters who I'd like to explore the idea of romance with in fic, but I just don't see anyone as being appropriate for them. And I'm way too embarrassed to write them an OC.

Still, I have a lot more respect for people who write believable OCs with a difficult-to-pair character than those who just toss them at the nearest canon character, sometimes even if said canon character is related to them (and I'm not talking about the people who appreciate incest ships for what they are, which is cool, but about the people who ship incest simply because they don't see any other options for pairing up the characters in question), wildly different in personality/outlook/goals/etc, or creepily inappropriate in some other way. Not that I have anything against people who ship weird pairings because they genuinely like the pairing, but sometimes it just seems like they don't so much care about the pairing as they do about seeing their favorite character paired up.

To wrap up that tl;dr with some encouragement: when I was much younger and in some ways more shameless, I did do a canon character/OC fanfiction for a favorite of mine who I just couldn't see with any of the canon cast. Not many people read it, but the ones who did liked it.
