but what is your book supposed to be called?

somethings of shield or agents of something?

because 'agents of organization' is extremely generic. what saves it in this case is the SHIELD bit since that's the buzzword since it's a well-known fictional organization spanning a lot of popular media. so if you're calling something in your book SHIELD that's going to be problematic in that sense.

Agreed. That being said, if it's a similar title just because of the structure or the words agent and shield without "shield" referring to the name of an organization, you might be all right. There are a lot of titles similar to each other out there, and depending on when you get into the publication process, the show might have already faded away (not that I'm hoping it does poorly!)

honestly I've been cringing over the name since it was announced. why not just call it SHIELD? or hell even just Agents idk. 'agents of shield' sounds comicbookish I guess but in the cluttered old-timey not-good way

I just find it hard to say. Like I'm never like 'ONCE UPON A TIME IS ON' I'm like 'oh ONCE' so I'm trying to figure out how I will abbreviate it with my mouth lol. SHIELD I guess but it doesn't really roll off the tongue for me

Heh, I say OUAT (pronounced Wat). But okay, I get that. In that sense, the name does kinda suck. But I really like the title in a general sense? It's just weirdly dramatic and it amuses me.
