My partner got me to actually do things I needed to do by pointing out that it's never too early to finish something that needs to be done, and once it's done, it's one less thing I have to stress over! Plus, if I get everything finished early, I can screw around as much as I like without feeling guilty.

Granted, it only worked maybe 70% of the time because my stupid ass forgot to tell him what was due when, but it was a good structure for not leaving practically EVERYTHING to the last minute.
