I've been a Holmes/Watson shipper for literally decades, and with a modern day version, you could have them as an out couple. But nope, God forbid... d-:

Honestly, I think that scene was just to mess with the fans who do want them together.

Well, yeah... they do that in every episode. This was just more of that same shit.

I'm glad they didn't drag the Moriarty thing out over the course of several seasons

And they'll probably have her reappear, but I kinda of hope they'll show a little restraint and not have it happen right away. I'd love if they'd maybe even go a whole season without bringing her back. I guess we'll see...

It hasn't quite been decades for me (maybe 13-14 years I think? since I first read the original stores) but yeah, me too. And that's what's so frustrating, they could, but of course they never will.

Well, yeah... they do that in every episode. This was just more of that same shit.

Yep. It's one of the many reasons why I'm not thrilled about Sherlock anymore. I'll probably still watch the new episodes, but I'm definitely not as excited about the show as I used to be.

I'm hoping so! Going a whole season without her coming back would be good...I'm just hoping they'll wait until at least the end of next season at the earliest.
