They've... killed off Jonah Hex? WHAT

And Wesker better come back. Sure, I thought his death scene was pretty magnificent, but screw that. He's the heart and soul of the RE series, as far as I'm concerned. (Loved Piers too, but I know there's not even a chance for him to return.)

They've killed off Hex in the past (his stuffed corpse showed up at least once in the 70s/80s), but he's currently alive and killcking. Apparently next month he starts time travelling again.

Ah, got it! I thought it was a final/permanent death, which kinda threw me since Jonah Hex was one of the comics that I grew up reading.

That's a genuine surprise. Going from the reputation, characters and story aren't the strong point. This actually makes me want to give the game a shot.

YMMV but I find the Gears characters to be surprisingly likable. Their banter is fun and their relationships are actually pretty sweet and well written. Again, not everyone is going to agree with this, but there's some good character stuff in Gears. Gears 3 was particularly good about this imo, and there was a different character death in that one that moved a lot of people.

Ben was adorable and my favorite Carmine. It might've been obvious he wasn't going to make it through the game, but his death was still awful. (I expected them to try it make it funny after what happened during the first Gears, then...yea, no.)

LUIS! XD He was the character who made me realize I have a penchant for choosing the guy who dies as my favorite in almost every series.

That being said, I have a weird "grieving process" myself. I make avatars based on the deceased in Band Hero. There's just something comforting about seeing my favorite characters singing "Pretty Woman" on stage to hundreds of fans that cheers me right up.
