I don't know. I used to do that (especially with urban fantasy) a lot more than I do now... I feel like now the interesting thing for me has been figuring out the most graceful way to get things to crossover, the way to combine two canons without doing damage to either - and that gets exponentially harder with multiple universes, unless it's something totally mundane like crime procedurals. So you inevitably get a ton of kludge in there and I just don't like that. It's not elegant. It's cool to have a ton of things in the same universe but you just can't make them fit well enough for my liking, usually. Inconsistencies get harder and harder to paper over.

But of course there's nothing wrong with it, different strokes and all that.

What is it you don't like about your writing? Excessive comma use? Poor characterization? Plot stagnation? If you can find a problem, fix it. If you can't actually find a problem you're probably just being too harsh on yourself.

I love all three of those but I don't bring them up unless someone else does first, or it's answering a "what shows do you like?" question.

It's definitely annoying when people won't shut up about trying to get you into a show they watch, especially when you're not interested, but I think it can happen with fans of any show.

I can't blame you, anon. I'm getting better at shooting games because I play Fallout 3, and I love getting headshot after headshot to the point where I put myself in more dangerous situations than I probably should. It is very satisfying.

They've... killed off Jonah Hex? WHAT

And Wesker better come back. Sure, I thought his death scene was pretty magnificent, but screw that. He's the heart and soul of the RE series, as far as I'm concerned. (Loved Piers too, but I know there's not even a chance for him to return.)

It's good that you didn't do it. I hope you continue to not-do it. I also hope you're in a position where you can try finding different doctors; there has to be some sort of explanation for your chronic pain -- they just haven't found it yet, and different doctors may think of different things to test for. Anyway, I hope things get better for you, OP.
