It's basically the unoffical OTP shipper's anthem. But what OP is saying is that they can't watch a show/movie without ending up shipping the characters, I guess.

Anyway, I don't see the harm in shipping but there's nothing wrong with focusing on other things (or wanting to).
In my experience, once you start shipping it's hard to stop. You see pairings without even wanting to.

Lately it seems like I can't even get interested in a show unless it has characters with my kind of shipping dynamics. Also, since that never becomes canon, it means going in already knowing that a)I will end up shipping and b)I'm going to have to do all the work in my own head because it's never happening on screen.
Kinda gets a bit exhausting and masochistic, doesn't it?
