Aww, I'm sad to hear that. The unusual soft-spokenness and gentleness is one of my favorite traits of Eight, especially after how much of a ruthless bastard Seven was, and how tragically Eight's character arc ended.

(I mean, I love Seven, but having him regenerate into someone like Eight made for a really nice direction of character development).

I'm not entirely sure how to respond, but...While I can understand making fake ids [even if I think it would have been a lot simpler and easier to just say 'Sorry, not comfortable sharing that!'], faking the death of one was pretty shitty. From what you said, it sounds like at least one person went through pain because they thought a friend had died which isn't a cool thing to put people though and it sounds like you've figured that out. So...just try to take this as a [really painful] learning experience and move on?

tl;dr: Yes, you did something that was pretty sucky, but it might be best to just learn from it and move on

You're confusing a traumatic experience with a genre. You can be scared of yaoi fangirls and still be okay with yaoi in general, and I think your frightened memory of that situation is just bleeding over and confusing your feelings about an entire genre.

Which is fine, really. You don't have to like yaoi.

You know, I sat down a week or two ago to make a secret about these guys acting like they're married, and when I was looking for a picture, the first thing I found was a FAQ on the show specifying that they are not in fact married, and the person running the page doesn't know why they get so many questions about it.

Yanno I can relate to the person that probably does this. I never know what to say when someone makes a response to what I've written, and it always seems incredibly doushy to go on and on about story arch points when, once I've penned something, it's like an out of sight, out of mind thing (mostly because I write for fests and the stories are finished months before they're posted). So I just say thanks.
