(Anonymous) 2013-05-25 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)However, I do sometimes like a scene after the hurt where, say, the character goes to/is found by his friends and they jump all over him to start calming him down/bandaging his wounds/cleaning him up/calling the hospital, and tell him it's alright and they're going to take care of him -- but we don't have to actually see the boring-as-fuck process of them taking care of him. I just like the implication that the comfort will take place.
Although a lot of hurty fics, especially short ones, I also like it to end as soon as the hurt ends, without any comfort or aftermath.
